I'm a pathetic blogger...

Well I think we've established that I'm a pathetic blogger! I don't know how all you bloggers out there keep on top of your blogs! My last blog was 9 months ago and it seems like just yesterday. I'm making no promises that this will improve because I'm not sure how to improve it...but I was getting embarrased at my "9 months" since last post status:)

Hey again!

So I warned everyone it was busy season in my last post...however I really didn't get you the right month for the end of busy season. It's really June. A lot of people think our busy season ends at the end of April with the personal tax deadline. The truth is I did about 5 tax returns this year, 2 of which were mine and Paul's so tax is not really my thing at work! However the audit busy season lasts even longer. It has a tiny lull around March - at which time I headed to Dallas with the Shiloh Go Team. Unfortunately I forgot my camera, so you'll have to check out some of the youth's facebook sites for those pictures!

The end of June is almost here though and life should resume in full again! I should have some exciting posts coming up soon (and no that doesn't mean I'm pregnant - lol - I've realized I can't say to anyone these days that I have 'good news' without the assumption going to pregnancy). Vacation's almost here and our new house construction will be starting soon!

Stay posted!

It's BUSY SEASON!!!

I know, I know...what happened to my blog?? Well I have an answer to that one - it's called BUSY SEASON at work. For me it starts about mid-November and stretches through to about May. But my most busy month of the year is January - so that explains my lack of posts lately!

I do have a bunch of Christmas pictures I need to get up but January was a wash so nothing from then...hopefully I'll get some more social activities back in my life now that it's February!

So don't remove me from your blog lists yet - I'll be back up and running in no time!!

Deloitte's 1st Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Potluck

So this year at Deloitte we decided to have an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party and I was super excited about it! I decided to break out my creative side and create my own masterpiece. So I went to the Dollar Store, grabbed a red sweater from my closet, a needle and thread and got to work.
It was a lot of fun and I ended up in a tie for 1st place with Jenny!

We didn't get a picture of the back at work - so here's it while i was working on it!
The Winners - Jenny & I One of the top 5 - Mike

Top 5 - Scott

Top 5 - my bro, Jared

The finished product!

The Family Shot - eyes closed - love it!
Good Family Shot!

Nutcracker

Last Friday night we went to the Nutcrack with P.Mike & Nancy and Justin & Britt. The guys weren't the biggest fans of the ballet, or so they said, but I think deep down they really enjoyed it! I sure did!

New Feature??

I'm pretty new at this blogging thing so I'm not sure if this feature is new or if it's just new to me - but I just discovered that you can load multiple pictures at the same time! Fantastic!!

Christmas Craft Fair

A few weeks ago Ash, Nance, Britt and I went to the Christmas fair at Exhibition park. Really Nance and Britt were the ones who were really excited about the crafts...Ash and I were just there to keep them company and spent a lot of time waiting for them as they took their time at each booth! But it was fun and I bought some great fudge!

This is us trying out the massage cushions.

Love Nance's face in this one

Scrooge was there promoting his Neptune Play (which I'm going to next weekend) so we got a picture with him.

It's CHRISTMAS at the Khoslas!

As some of you might remember, we didn't even put our Christmas tree up last year so this year we thought we'd better get it up early! So we invited my parents over for dinner and then they stayed to help!

Mom & I

Here's mom cleaning up the dishes! Gotta love that!
The little green tree
The little pink trees

Paul bought all the decorations for the tree while he was in Chicago - he did such a great job! I love them all!

And it begins!
And closer

Something wasn't quite working with some of the lights - but Paul got it all fixed up. You'll notice my dad relaxing - this is usually Paul's role when we're putting up my parents' tree, so my dad thought he'd take his place since roles were reversed.

The final touches

Our Tree!

This is our Nativity scene...we bought it last year and I love it!

SNOW!

I was so excited for our first big snow storm of the season!

Here's a picture fromour window

And here's a picture of the guys shoveling the walk ways and plowing the driveway. Gotta love living in a condo!

The Healthy Treat Bowl

I was looking at Michelle's blog and noticed she's finally made a healthy treat bowl. Thought I'd take a picture of mine and encourage you all to start one. There's so many options for your bowl - you'll see in ours we have Thinsations of a few varieties, Emergen-Cs, almonds, raisins, Crispy Delights.

GLOW IN THE DARK SHILOH

This past Wednesday was Glow in the Dark Shiloh so our cadre went all out! We bought black t-shirts, black hats, some glow in the dark string, band-aids, a lot of glow braclets/necklaces, and a lot of glow in the dark paint. The end result was awesome and we had a lot of fun getting everything ready. Here's a few pictures of us on Wednesday. I meant to take a picture of the pack of our shirts - they had our last names across the back but oh well! We're planning on a glow in the dark bowling/putting edge night so we can bring out the outfits again so I'll get one then!

Grocery Shopping...made easy!

Alanna and Nat decided they wanted to go grocery shopping with me after Starbucks last weekend and I was more than happy to have the company! It was a lot of fun! Alanna pushed the cart (didn't have much option because she still had her cast on and left her crutches in the car) and Nat surveyed the aisles with me. It's a lot easier to shop with a couple assistants! We left with an overflowing grocery cart but the girls agreed it was all stuff we needed!

Starbuck with the cadre...

We were supposed to go to the Parade of Lights last Saturday night, but with all the crazy rain we decided to go to Starbucks and relax instead. While we were there we came up with our idea for Glow in the Dark Shiloh - you'll see the result pictures in the post above!

Annie & Bre
Oh and Ash and Andrea joined us!...well actually I heard they were heading there so actually we joined them:) Check out Andrea's new hair cut - fantastic!

Cadre Trick or Treat

My cadre decided that we should join make the cadre after Halloween a dress up one, so the girls came in their finest! We enjoyed some yummy junk food and then headed out to see if we could get some left over treats!
